Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at info@inkhousegifts.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

At the moment, Etsy is our sales platform.  That may change at some point in the future but for now we're focused on launching our online presence and building out a range of high quality products.  It doesn't leave much time for us to figure out eCommerce on our own so Etsy is doing that work for us.

We have a great selection of "standard" colors that we've tested and know print relatively well on our equipment.  That said, our standard color selections are a lot less than all of the colors in the world so if you have a specific color in mind we're happy to try to accommodate your favorite shade of blue (or any other color). Just reach out to us.

It will be super helpful if you have the color you're interested in available either as a hex code (something that looks like #999999) or a CMYK value (something that looks like C=42, M=12, Y=0, K=0). Unfortunately, there are not universal color names. One person's "tropical blue" is another person's "ocean blue".

Oh, we also have more information regarding colors here.

Our standard shipping is via USPS. Delivery times can range from 2-10 business days for orders destined for most locations in the US.

Priority and overnight shipping options are available. We do not charge any extra processing fees for rush orders and will make every effort to ship priority and overnight orders within one business day or the order date (or proof approval for orders where proofs are provided).

Have a specific "must have by" date in mind? Contact us and we'll be happy to confirm whether we can meet your specific deadline.

We totally understand that you may want your items to match a font(s) from an invitation, other party favors, or just a font you love.  We're happy to work with different fonts as long as you can provide us with the name of the font and we either own it or we can acquire inexpensively.  It's usually impractical for us to buy a font for one print job so please contact us with your preferred font name(s) and we'll see what we can do.

If we do use your fonts, we'll ask you to review and approve a digital proof to confirm that we've set up your item and. the font in the way you were imagining.

The item quantities listed in our Etsy listing contact contain what we think are the most common order quantities for each product.  If you would like to order more than the largest quantity listed please reach out to us and we may be able to offer a special listing just for you with a bulk discount for whatever quantity you require.  Large runs do have some cost savings and we're happy to pass some of that savings to you.

Generally, our suggestion would be to submit your photograph or artwork at the highest resolution possible.  It's easier to scale down than it is to try to make something look great by scaling up.  If whatever you submit does not print well in our test print (which we do for every order with customer-provided graphics that we process) we'll get it touch to let you know what you options are--which might include obtaining higher quality graphics files.

Probably not.  Assuming your photograph is of reasonable resolution (quality) we can probably extract your dog, fiancee, or other significant image from your photo ourselves.  We'll contact you if we cannot and suggest how to proceed.

It depends on how you define "waterproof".  We want to be very up front about this because there seems to be some misconceptions about what "waterproof" really means.  The ultimate question is waterproof for how long?

Truly waterproof labels are designed to survive years outside in the Alaskan tundra subjected to rain, snow, sleet and whatever else comes their way.  They're generally produced with a specific coating to provide a waterproof seal.  And they're generally significantly more expensive than those designed for more casual interactions with water.

Our BOPP labels will resist water and will generally be fine if kept in your refrigerator, placed in a cooler with ice for a party, or for similar purposes.  But, if left exposed to water long enough they will definitely start to bleed color.  Most of the labels you find on seller marketplaces like Etsy will likely do the same (or worse if they're uncoated paper labels).

Great question!  A label is generally associated with conveying information like on a product package where a sticker is generally associated with something you place on an elementary school student's homework or your favorite water bottle.

Yeah, we get it.  We probably get a "C-" in aesthetics and a "D" in snazzy graphics and sweet colors and fonts.  Unfortunately, we're not web designers.  And, even more unfortunately, we made a sort of terrible decision by signing up with the website hosting company that we chose. But, we're doing the best we can with what we have and what we know while spending most of our time working on our products and ensuring amazing customer service.
